What is a phone upgrade, how do I upgrade, and how long will it take?
An upgrade is when you wish to transfer your phone number and minutes from one Straight Talk phone to another.
To upgrade, please go to
www.straighttalk.com/Activate
and select the radio button "Activate or reactivate my phone with a number transferred from another Straight Talk phone" and click on "Continue" then please sign in to your account to complete this process. Your transfer may take up to 24 hours.
I upgraded to a new Straight Talk phone, how do I transfer my Minutes, Messages & Data?
Upon completing the upgrade, any balance on your OLD/CURRENT Straight Talk phone will be removed and transferred automatically to your NEW Straight Talk phone.
If I am upgrading to a new Straight Talk phone, can I transfer my remaining minutes and phone number?
Yes, upon completing the upgrade, any balance on your OLD/CURRENT Straight Talk phone will be removed and transferred automatically to your NEW Straight Talk phone.
If I upgrade to a new Straight Talk phone, will my Service End Date change?
Yes, upon completing the upgrade, any balance on your OLD/CURRENT Straight Talk phone will be removed and transferred automatically to your NEW Straight Talk phone, including your Service End Date on your OLD/CURRENT Straight Talk.
